Description
This course is the first of two studios (GA 423 & 424) dedicated to the design, development, and production of the capstone project in Game Art. Students build on their original ideas from (GA 334) or pursue a new idea in a studio structure that provides creative guidance, technical and logistical support, and feedback for the production phase of their project. Students generate a game design document and production plan, develop (or adapt) a game engine framework, create essential art assets, and arrange for supporting contributions from collaborators such as music, voiceover, vfx, programming, etc.). Studio work culminates in assembly of a working prototype to be tested and polished in the final studio (GA 424).
