Description
This course approaches drawing as an iterative practice of recording and seeing objectively. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of drawing including: mark making, material handling, perspective, proportion, composition and gesture. Assignments will build observational skills as students explore value and form by depicting the effects of light and shadow in space. This course will combine studio work, slide presentations, discussions, regular homework assignments and individual consultation with the instructor. Work in this course will involve an unclothed figure model.
