Description
Graphics Fundamentals introduces students across all performance production concentrations to the basic visual tools and techniques appropriate for designing for and supporting live performance. Whether one is a designer, stage manager, technician, director, or performer, these foundational skills are paramount to understanding how ideas for live theater production are visually communicated. This course will introduce: elements of visual design and composition, theater-specific drafting conventions, theater-specific model building, and a foundational method for drawing the costumed body. Working via hand-drawn methods is the primary focus of this introductory course.
