Description
This course introduces you to the methods and tools to create video, computer animation, experimental film, and New Media artwork. Students will work with image and sound, developing skills with digital software, cameras, audio recorders, and lights. Students will complete projects demonstrating literacy in image acquisition, editing, and soundtrack construction. Technical instruction and in-class work sessions are augmented with lectures/readings/viewings and discussions of current and historically important works of New Media art, tracing its development since the 1960s.
