Explores topics and research in relation to areas such as technology, environment, performance, world dance,
performance in society, and/or art criticism that the normal sequence of offerings may not allow. In this course, students will develop their skills in the application of historical methods to specific topics in dance history. This course also emphasizes writing, research and dialgoue as creative processes
and vehicles for deep learning. The course incorporate informal and formal writing to engage learning both the subject matter,
and discipline-specific ways of thinking and writing.
